Did you know that political polarization is so extensive in the United States that it might be dictating who we marry? In this four session course, ISU Assistant Professor of Political Science, Dr. Levi Allen, will dive into the historical roots of polarization and how political scientists have conceptualized the term. The course will examine graphs and figures depicting trends in American politics and will engage in class exercises where the class examines ways in which we, the people, can be part of the solution. The class will conclude by assessing what this political division means for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
