Join Michelle for the continuation of the OLLI International Mystery Book Classes. We have learned about Vienna 1900 and Prague in 1599. Now we turn to Budapest in 2015 for the Adam LeBor novel titled District VIII: A Thriller.
This two session class will start with a brief overview of Hungarian history mainly focusing on Budapest and a short
travel guide to the city. The second session will be a book discussion of the novel District VIII: A Thriller.

Set in the long, hot Hungarian summer of 2015-and revealing the hidden, criminal world beneath Budapest’s
glittering facade-District VIII. Detective Kovacs receives a text: a photograph and an address. The photograph shows a man, in his early thirties, lying on his back with his eyes open, half-covered by a blue plastic sheet. The address is 26 Republic Square, the former Communist Party headquarters, and once the most feared building in the country. But when Kovacs arrives at Republic Square, the body is gone...
