OSHA 30-Hr Training For General Industry

Purpose and Course Content:

The OSHA 30-Hour training course for General Industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in general industry. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights and employer responsibilities. The 30-hour class is intended for workers, supervisors and safety students and Human Resource personnel with some safety-related responsibilities. Through this training, OSHA helps ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation's productivity.

The Course covers topics such as, but not limited to, Introduction to OSHA, Electrical Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Hazard Communication, Walking and Working Surfaces and Fall Protection, Exit Routes and Emergency Plans and Fire Protection, Machine Guarding, Hand and Power Tools and etc. The applicants will receive an OSHA-30 hour card after successfully finishing the training course.

About the Instructor:

Dr. Farman A. Moayed, PE is an assistant professor in the department of Built Environment at Indiana State University. He is an authorized OSHA trainer and a registered Professional Engineer. He teaches several safety courses such as industrial hygiene, human factors and ergonomics, fire protection systems at undergraduate and graduate levels in occupational safety management program.

Fees:

Students: $339.00 per applicant.

Non-Students: $439.00 per applicant.

Late Registration after May 5th, 2017: $480.00 per applicant.

Class size is limited to 30 applicants.

Class with less than 10 students will be canceled.

                        The fee "does not" cover lunch or refreshments.
