Suzy Quick, Curator of the Vigo County History Museum, teaches the lost art of journaling. Learn about the mental and physical health benefits of journaling, as well as how to develop a routine practice that will serve as a historic account of your life experiences. Ever the historian, Suzy will take students on a journey through some of the great historical journals of the Vigo County History Center's collection. Students will have an opportunity to view the journals of Max Ehrmann, Benjamin Blumberg, and even a Civil War journal. This two part course will be "hands on" and will include journal prompts and writing insight. Students will gain inspiration as well as helpful tips on writing as they learn to document their own stories.
