This class explores the interactive relationship between media and society mediated by technology, and it will introduce various media forms in their historical contexts to understand how today’s media systems came to be and how they might have developed differently. Key concepts include priming, framing, spinning, misinformation, echo chamber, technology determinism, and social determination of technology.
