This two session course will discuss the Holocaust in two of the outlying area of Western Europe.
The first session will focus on the Scandinavian countries of Norway and Denmark, both occupied by Nazi Germany
during World War Two; on Sweden, a declared neutral during the War; and on Finland, which fought both with and against Nazi Germany.
Session Two’s emphasis will be on the Baltic States of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, countries occupied first by the Soviet Union and then by Nazi Germany.
