Let’s spend the day exploring all the history in Springfield, IL. We plan to tour the Old State Capital Building and the
Lincoln Presidential Library, where we will see a presentation of “Stealing Lincoln’s Body”. Did you know on the night of the presidential election in 1876, a gang attempted to steal the body of Abraham Lincoln and hold it for ransom? We will learn all the interesting facts of this crazy scheme, plus have time to see all the exhibits at the museum.

Springfield is also famous for its original Horseshoe sandwich, which we will have for lunch. Don’t make diet
plans that day! We also include a tour of the Dana Thomas Frank Lloyd Wright Home and a two-hour city tour with a step-on guide. Springfield is proud of its Lincoln heritage and would love to show it off to you.

Price includes round trip transportation aboard a deluxe motor coach, lunch, and admission to Dana Thomas House, Old State Capital, Lincoln Presidential Library.
