Academy of Rock and Roll (Ages 12-17)

Shakers, kazoos, drums, oh my! Each week we will learn rhythms and beats with our very own instrument creations. We will use these instruments to add rhythms to popular tunes and, of course, have a big jam session! Basics of music notation and dictation will be covered as a part of this class. This 11 session course is for 4-7 years and their grownups.

Classes meet on the following Mondays from 5PM-6PM: 8/21, 8/28, 9/11, 9/25, 10/2, 10/16, 10/30, 11/6, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11

CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that last minute schedule changes happen. We need to have at least a two hour notice before canceling a scheduled session. If there is a cancellation after that allotted two hour window, it will result in a lost session.

The Academy of Rock and Roll provides a fun and educational opportunity for beginner/intermediate level musicians. Students will develop critical ensemble playing and rehearsal skills by learning to read lead sheets, developing music reading skills. Students will explore different musical qualities of various rock styles while playing one or more of five traditional rock instruments: guitar, drums, bass, keyboards or voice.
