But what if that “something” is a pigeon? And what if you let it go 500 miles from your home?
That’s exactly what Larry Sample and Ron Deisher do hundreds of times per year, and their pigeons return to their
homes in Vigo County and Clark County. Larry and Ron are members of the Crossroads Racing Pigeon Club. Between them they own over a thousand pigeons, which they raise and compete in high-stakes organized races.
Larry and Ron will discuss breeding, feeding, raising, training, and racing pigeons,many of which will accompany
them during their OLLI presentation.
