Czech Dances, Hungarian Dances, Jazz & Blues, and even Highland folk dances! The THSO’s November 5th concert will be an evening made for dance-lovers and toe-tappers! Much of Florence Price’s superb music was hidden away in an attic, unknown and unperformed, until it was discovered less than three decades ago. Her extraordinary Piano Concerto, filled with American dance rhythms, will be played by the THSO’s own Principal Pianist, Tim Stephenson. Join members of the THSO as they discuss repertoire from this concert including Kodaly’s Dances of Galanta, Kilar’s Orawa, Florence Price’s Concerto in D minor in One Movement, and Dvoøák’s Symphony No. 8!
