Warren Cordell and his Dictionaries
The first session will focus on Warren and Suzanne Cordell and how they came to put together this collection of dictionaries. Topics will include a biography of the couple, the way they assembled their collection, the history of the collection after they donated it to ISU, and the purpose, scope and importance of the collection.
The History of Lexicography
The second session will focus on the historical development of dictionaries and how their construction, purpose, and
distribution has evolved over the centuries.
