Established in 1959, the Wabash Valley Coin Club has been serving the Numismatic need of the Wabash Valley for 64 years. Numismatics is the study or collecting of coins, paper currency, medals, and tokens.
Education of the novice collector as well as the experienced collector is the primary goal of the club. The club meets at the Vigo Public Library on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. The club is always welcoming visitors and can be reach at their website: wvccol.tripod.com or their Facebook page.
There will be three representatives from the club to present and share their collections, collecting knowledge, and experiences. The speakers and topics are:
• Mrs. Bert Hoesman, speaking about ancient coins
• Mr. Doug Hoesman, speaking on the US dollar, quarter, and silver eagle sets
• Mr. Roy Maines, speaking on the History of Coins, Grading of Coins, and experience of a dealer
