Have you ever felt unheard? It's a terrible feeling! And being unheard regarding your health and well-being can turn from a feeling to a detriment. Sometimes only you can communicate what your body isn't revealing, that is why it is of grave importance to advocate for yourself.

This isn't always an easy task; however, it is very necessary. Often, we do not know how to take the most suitable approach to address concerns with our physician and/or providers.

This session will assist with self-advocacy. Self-advocacy simply means explaining what you need and why with confidence.

The speakers will provide tools and resources to "effectively assert yourself" to gain the treatment you and/or your loved ones deserve. In some cases, not only are we advocating for ourselves, but we are also advocating for our children or a beloved parent that we are now caring for (as the roles have changed). But whatever the case may be …You can "find your voice."
