Join writer and photographer Mike Lunsford on Friday, May 5 for yet another walk through historic Highland Lawn Cemetery. This spring, Mike will take walkers through the west side of Highland with visits to sites that have become steeped in local history and legend. This tour will emphasize stops at many of the burial grounds’ most fascinating residents: five-time Socialist presidential candidate, Eugene Debs; local physician and world traveler, Dr. Frank Wiedemann; pioneer aviation and nursing figure, Ellen Church Marshall; poet and philosopher, Max Ehrmann; adventurer and geologist, John Collett; groundbreaking architect, Juliet Peddle; spiritualist physician, Allen Pence, and many, many more… Wear durable walking shoes; bottles of water and snacks will be provided.
