Vince Lombardi, considered by many one of the greatest coaches in football history, also served for many as a model for how to live one’s life. Lombardi never had a losing season, including a winning percentage of 73.8 percent in regular-season games, 90 percent in post-season games, including the first two Super Bowls. OLLI participants will be encouraged to read and discuss the Robert W. Wells book, VINCE LOMBARDI HIS LIFE AND TIMES (or any other Lombardi biography of their choice), and they will view one of the most important football films dealing with the biography of Lombardi.
Lombardi said about life, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence!” Be a part of this OLLI class and discover some of Lombardi’s rules for chasing perfection in today’s world where excellence is a rarity.
