We don’t have snow in winter like we once had in Indiana. Jesse Walker, Meteorologist at W-TWO Television will reveal his secrets as to how he makes his annual “Winter Forecasts” with emphasis upon what Hoosiers can expect for the rest of 2023. Participants will be able to compare average snowfalls of years ago to those of recent years. It will be interesting to see what kind of weather Jesse can conjure up for this January 18, 2023, OLLI special winter snow presentation.
Tribune-Star Feature Writer Mark Bennett will discuss some of his memorable past Tribune-Star features describing snowfall in the Wabash Valley, such as the “snow rollers” during the winter of 2003, as well as other major snow events. Retired Tribune-Star Photographer, Jim Avelis, will share some of his snow photos from years past.
