Dry needling is a procedure used for a wide variety of musculoskeletal issues. Fine microfilament needles are pushed through the skin into irritable muscle “knots,” stimulating the tissue, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function. The procedure is called dry needling because the needles do not inject anything into the body.
