& AMERICAN DEMOCRACY
Dr. Levi Allen
February 4
How does religion interact with politics in the United States, and what are the implications that has for American Democracy? In this session, Indiana State University Political Science Professor Dr. Levi Allen investigates the recent trends regarding religion in the United States, how religious identity influences political identification (and vice versa), and what these developments portend in the days to come. This session will not dive into normative questions such as “Is there a God?,” but will take a scientific, analytic approach to help explain the current state of religion vis-á-vis politics in the United States.
