Join ISU Professor of Criminology Dr. Christian Gallagher as he explores the most significant criminal justice campaign of the modern era: The War on Drugs (WoD). Session 1 traces the origins of the WoD, examines its evolution, and explains the landscape of street arrests. Session 2 details the secrets of undercover operations, delves into the clandestine world of meth labs, and examines the techniques used to dismantle drug networks. Sessions 3 & 4 analyzes the effects of the opioid crisis, scrutinizes legislative drug policies, tracks the latest trends in drug crimes, and concludes with a discussion of the nature of addiction and the decriminalization of marijuana.
