Mental Health First Aid for Adults is a nationally recognized course that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. The training introduces the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE), which emphasizes risk assessment, nonjudgmental listening, reassurance, and connection to appropriate professional and community supports. Designed for caring individuals across many roles, the course builds confidence and practical skills for real-world situations. Upon successful completion, participants receive official Mental Health First Aid certification. The course carries a market value of $170 and is offered at no cost to OLLI members

Members who cancel a program registration will only receive a full refund if the following criteria are met: cancellation is received in the OLLI office 15 business days prior to the first meeting of any Course or Osher Online Course, cancellation is received in the OLLI office 30 business days prior to the event for a Special Event and/or 30 business days prior to the departure date for all day trips and overnight trips.
