Jeri Taylor, retired Ivy Tech professor of nursing and adjunct instructor at Indiana State University, leads this timely course exploring pressing issues shaping modern healthcare and wellness. Topics include adult vaccines such as RSV and COVID, the rapid development of the coronavirus vaccine, and the growing impact of GLP-1 medications. Additional sessions will examine environmental health concerns like lead and radon exposure, the influence of television drug advertising, supplement and medication safety, and recovery trends following joint replacement surgery. Participants will receive a handout in the first session to identify priority topics for deeper exploration in the second session.

Members who cancel a program registration will only receive a full refund if the following criteria are met: cancellation is received in the OLLI office 15 business days prior to the first meeting of any Course or Osher Online Course, cancellation is received in the OLLI office 30 business days prior to the event for a Special Event and/or 30 business days prior to the departure date for all day trips and overnight trips.
