Exploring Alcohol Ink Art
with Cynthia Phillips-Sabla
Fridays, February 6, 13, 20
10:00 to 12:00
Fine Arts Room 115
Cost: $80 Limit: 8
Cynthia Phillips-Sabla, Director of Indiana State University’s Community School of the Arts, leads an immersive introduction to alcohol ink, a vibrant and fluid art form created using brightly pigmented dye-based inks and isopropyl alcohol on nonporous surfaces. In this hands-on class, participants will explore color blending, texture creation, and abstract design as the inks flow and interact in unexpected ways, producing mesmerizing effects. This medium requires no prior artistic experience and is ideal for creative exploration. All materials are included in the cost of the course. Due to the use of latex products in the process, participants must not have latex allergies.
