Over four weeks, participants will read and discuss works by influential authors including Eudora Welty, Flannery O’Connor, Carson McCullers, and others whose voices capture the complexity of identity, tradition, and place in the American South. Through rich conversation and thoughtful analysis, the course examines themes of family, morality, social change, and the often-unexpected twists that define Southern storytelling.
