Professional drummer Jim Thistle shares an inspiring look at his path from small-town Indiana to the heart of Music City, U.S.A. Through stories, rhythm demonstrations, and behind-the-scenes insights, he reflects on his musical beginnings, education, and evolution into a sought-after studio and live performer. Drawing from collaborations with artists such as the Dixie Chicks, Kenny Chesney, and the Bellamy Brothers, Thistle discusses success, longevity, and the discipline required in the music industry. Combining performance with personal reflection, this clinic offers an engaging exploration of creativity, perseverance, and the rhythm that drives a lifelong musical journey.

Members who cancel a program registration will only receive a full refund if the following criteria are met: cancellation is received in the OLLI office 15 business days prior to the first meeting of any Course or Osher Online Course, cancellation is received in the OLLI office 30 business days prior to the event for a Special Event and/or 30 business days prior to the departure date for all day trips and overnight trips.
