Are you an outgoing, people-loving individual who enjoys meeting new faces and sharing your enthusiasm for lifelong learning? Then the new OLLI Ambassador Team might be the perfect fit for you! This dynamic group will serve as the “Face of OLLI,” helping to “bring OLLI to the people” at local festivals, community events, retirement communities, and Indiana State University happenings throughout the year.
During this recruitment and training session, participants will learn everything needed to represent OLLI with confidence and pride. Topics will include essential talking points, responses to frequently asked questions, a brief history of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and how to use the SHINE method to engage and inspire others. Attendees will also receive helpful tips for tabling events, working as a team, and connecting meaningfully with prospective members.
Ambassadors will volunteer at a few events per semester—always in pairs—making this an enjoyable, low-commitment way to stay active and involved in the community. Whether chatting at the farmers market, greeting guests at the ISU Performing Arts Series, or helping new members feel at home, OLLI Ambassadors are the face of our outreach.

Members who cancel a program registration will only receive a full refund if the following criteria are met: cancellation is received in the OLLI office 15 business days prior to the first meeting of any Course or Osher Online Course, cancellation is received in the OLLI office 30 business days prior to the event for a Special Event and/or 30 business days prior to the departure date for all day trips and overnight trips.
