Midwest Medieval History Conference

Indiana State University is honored to host the 54th Midwest Medieval History Conference in Terre Haute on October 9-10, 2015. Sessions will be held in the Magna Carta Room on the second floor of Federal Hall, a beautifully restored federal courthouse now home to ISU's Scott College of Business. Highlighting the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta and the Fourth Lateran Council, the program will feature a keynote address by noted legal historian Richard H. Helmholz (University of Chicago Law School). The event will conclude on Saturday afternoon at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with a special performance of medieval music by Concentus (Historical Performance Institute, Indiana University), followed by a reception and optional banquet.



Lodging may be arranged with the Hilton Garden Inn at (812) 234-8900. The hotel, located just across the street from the conference venue, will hold a block of rooms at the rate of $109/night until September 19. Please be sure to mention your affiliation with the MMHC.
