Interested in drawing caricatures but unsure about having the necessary artistic skills? This engaging course, led by caricaturist and Swope Art Museum curator Amy MacLennan, invites participants to explore the art of caricature illustration. The class begins with a brief introduction to various caricature artists and techniques before diving into strategies for representing faces with humor and exaggeration. No artistic experience is required—just a sense of fun. There’s no one way to draw a caricature, and participants will have the chance to discover their own unique style. All class materials will be provided for this creative and lively journey into caricature art.
