Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a science-based approach to managing pests that uses a combination of tools and strategies to minimize economic, health, and environmental risks. IPM programs use information on pest biology, environmental data, and technology to suppress pest populations below the economic injury level (EIL). Join Fred Sanders as he covers the gamut of nutrients, pest controls, and disease treatments available to the home grower. The class will discuss where each strategy fits into an IPM and how each can best be implemented.
