Dr. Anne Foster
October 2
In 2023, more than 107,000 Americans died of a drug overdose, the first decrease in overdose deaths since 2018. American drug policy makes little sense. The war on drugs has not worked, yet most parts of it persist. Enter the world of ISU History Professor Dr. Anne Foster’s new book, The Long War on Drugs, as she explores the long history of both drug use and drug control in the United States. Learn why people still take drugs and why politicians still pursue a war on drugs even when everyone agrees it does not work.
Fee: | $0.00 |
