Join retired Vigo County School Corporation teacher and Indiana State University instructor Steve Moore as he takes the class through the groundbreaking events that followed the launch of Sputnik I in 1957, sparking a race to land astronauts on the moon. Using stunning visuals and space slides, the class will witness powerful rocket launches, astronauts exploring the lunar surface, and the heroic return of Apollo 13. Students will engage in interactive group activities and relive key moments in space history, from President Kennedy's iconic challenge to the triumphant planting of the U.S. flag on the moon.
