Shadows of Fear
The Conspiracy Connection

With Dr. Daniel Clark

Dates: Thursdays, February 6, 13 & 20
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Place: ISU Cunningham Memorial Library Room 028
Cost: $20

Join Indiana State University Professor of History Dr. Dan Clark for a look at three infamous episodes in American History informed by fears of conspiracy. Dr. Clark will begin by examining the Know Nothing Party that became a powerful political entity in 1854 centered on their belief in a Catholic plot to subvert the nation. Next, he will explore the Red Scare of 1919-20, perhaps the most intense outbreak of subversive fear. Finally, he will examine the mother of all conspiracy theories, the Kennedy assassination and its long history. Be careful if you enroll in this class; you never know who is watching!
