Join Dr. Samantha Johnson-Helms, Executive Director and Principal Clarinetist of the THSO, as she previews the THSO’s May 3 concert and provides insight into the music. The concert, aptly titled David’s Finale, is the final performance of Dr. David Bowden as Conductor of the THSO. Beginning with the rousing Lumbye’s Champagne Galop, Maestro Bowden welcomes pianist Sean Chen for a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 before concluding with Rachmaninov’s triumphant masterwork, the Symphony No. 2.
