Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra Artistic Director David Bowden pops the cork on a bottle of bubbly as he opens his final performance as Conductor of the THSO with Lumbye’s Champagne Galop. Maestro Bowden then welcomes pianist Sean Chen to the stage to perform Tchaikovsky’s passionate, lyrical, and technically challenging Piano Concerto No. 1 before concluding the program with a masterwork recognized for its gorgeous melodies and triumphant conclusion: Rachmaninov’s Symphony No. 2.
