Dr. Amy Ash, author of the award-winning poetry collection The Open Mouth of the Vase, will discuss public arts projects and multi-media collaborations involving her work—initiatives that invite poetry into our everyday lives in unexpected ways. From the Luzerne County Transportation Authority’s Poetry in Transit to an international collaboration with sophisti-pop musical trio StarWound of Athens, Greece, this session explores how poetry transforms off the page. Dr. Ash will conclude with a brief poetry reading.
